Yury Tuktarov, Legal Capital Partners partner, completed a course of lectures on «Law and Finance: financial transactions structuring -2012» for the students of the New Economic School* (NES).
Yury Tuktarov has more than 15 years' experience in financial transactions. He is an acknowledged as an expert in the fields of innovative legal mechanisms for fund raising on the capital market, structuring financial transactions, and raising investment for infrastructure projects and PPP. Therefore, the main objective of the course was to transfer to the students knowledge and experience in the financial transactions structuring, including those related to obtaining a credit rating by the rating agencies. The key goals of the course consisted of the training sessions were the following:
introduction to the legal regulation of the conditions and procedure for investment by institutional investors;
review and analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the Russian legislation in the context of its effect on the credit quality of financial transactions;
structuring the elements of the transaction in order to obtain an instrument of a higher credit rating compared to the baseline rating of the company or an asset (assets).
According to Yury Tuktarov these goals will expand the capabilities of the course participants in financial counseling within the framework of the investment bank activity.
