Mihael Malinovskiy, LECAP Partner, gave a presentation on the topic: "Prospects for Non-Mortgage Securitisation in the Current Market Conditions" at the SberCIB conference: "Financial Market Compass: Securities Market, Instruments and Opportunities".

On October 12, 2023, Mihael Malinovskiy, LECAP Partner, spoke at the SberCIB conference: "Financial Market Compass: Securities Market, Instruments and Opportunities". The conference was attended by more than 250 representatives from 96 financial institutions.

As part of his presentation "Prospects of non-mortgage securitisation development in the current market conditions" Mihael spoke about LECAP's experience in securitisation of financial assets, namely: legal support for the first Russian securitisation of consumer loans fully structured under Russian law, the first securitisation of rights of claim under a long-term service contract and the first securitisation of a portfolio of distressed debt. Separately, he noted the growing interest in developing structured products based on factoring. The Group is close to this product, as LECAP helped develop the law on structured bonds and has prepared more than a hundred issuances of Russian structured bonds, including from the SPV balance sheet.

Mihael noted that in securitisation both legal and financial aspects are important, as well as organisational and technical ones, including clear and coordinated actions of all transaction participants. And the fact that LECAP Group has its own SPV management company and a bondholders’ representative helps a lot in the implementation of the transaction.
